About The Client

The client is an independent Builders Merchant and DIY group, covering UK areas including Mid-Wales right across to the West Midlands and into the North West and beyond.

The business has 8 sites supplying a range of over 11,000 products including; building materials, bricks & blocks, doors & windows, roofing materials, landscaping, kitchens & bathrooms, plumbing & heating, timber, civil engineering and paints.

The Project

The customer required new store shelving units for its stores. This needed to both complement its corporate image and encompass the flexibility to allow the storage and display of a huge, differing portfolio of products.

Whatever the chosen shelving system, it should be capable of attractively displaying large items such as timber sheets, bags of aggregate and slabs, together with smaller and lighter items such as tins of paint, clothing and tools.

The Solution

With its vast experience working with both retailers and DIY/Builders merchants specifically, CAEM was well positioned to support this project.

The customer was introduced to CAEMs huge range of store solutions including shop shelving and racking. After discussion it was decided to implement a shopfitting system based on the highly flexible S50 50mm shelving range.

The final installed shop shelving was both strong and included a mixture of metal and wooden shelves. It ensures that customers can easily find what they are looking for and that the large range of different items are effectively and safely stored.
